I enjoyed this year's Writing class. Not only in this class but in other classes, I learned that doing something on my own is important. In Japan, I don't need to read English, to speak in English, and to listen to English very much, but I should do them to learn English, so I have to do on my own. That' why I say it is important to do something on my own. I like the Dominion card game! It was not class activities, but it was my favorite activities. Journals are good challenges for me. Each journals are hard and interesting. Journal D which was supposed to write about an invention is especially hard, and Journal E which was supposed to write a fable is very interesting. Also, all paragraphs are very useful for me. I learned how to write a paragraph, but writing 80-100 words is difficult for me. When I didn' come up with any idea, it was hard to write 80 words, or when I came up with many ideas, it was hard not to write more 100 words. I think you should change to "Write more 80 words" from "Write 80-100 words". All class activities were enjoyable, but I was sorry for taking some naps for lack of sleep. Thank you for your enjoyable class, Mr. Waterman!

Long, long ago, in a village, there is a
shepherdess. She is a very lucky and
modest person. She sometime picked up
much money, but she had never received.
She looked for someone who lost it.
She was satisfied with her life, which was surrounded by sheep and took
care of them. One day, she picked up a
golden axe. She looked for the owner of
the axe, but she didn’t find. Several
days later, she heard that there is the owner in a kingdom. She asked a person in the village to take
care of her sheep for a period of time, and she went to the kingdom to return
the axe. After arriving at the kingdom,
she didn’t find the owner. Some days
later, the prince of the kingdom came to her and said “I heard you had a golden
axe. I lost it before. If it is mine, please return to me.” Of course, she showed it and returned
it. She came to the kingdom to return it
to the owner, so she succeeded in doing.
She wanted to go back her village, but the prince thanked her very much
and he got to love her. He wanted her to
get married to him. However she wanted
to come back her village and to live with her sheep. She loved her village’s life, so she asked
him to come with her. It was difficult
for him to choose that choice, but he decided to go with her. She was really lucky person and they spent a
long and happy time.
Chosen words : shepherdess, lucky, kingdom,

I respect three presons, Ryotaro Shiba, Ryu Murakami, and Tsuyoshi Mori. Ryotaro Shiba is a writer. He wrote some famous novel, such as "Kouu and Ryuho", "Ryoma goes", and " the cloud at the top of a hill". I want to read them but I haven't. I read some of his novel.
My first novel which was wrote by him is "A man of the Plough". It is the story of a sword man who established a school of kendo. His kendo was named Hokushin-ittoryu. The life of him moved my mind. He broke the old customs and made new theory of kendo. I read "Kashin", "Shinsengumi keppuroku", "The last shogun", and others.
Ryotaro Shiba studied it as hard as possible when he wrote about anything, and he wrote a novel with improvements. His novel's story, theme, and character are very exciting. Also, when I read his novel, I thought very much. Those are why I respect Ryotaro Shiba.
Ryu Murakami is also writer. I read his novel, such as "Go out of the peninsula", "Hyuga virus", "Exsodus of a hopeful country", and others. His novel is stimulating and his essay makes me think. He insists that Japanese forgot a sence of danger but it isu't justified. A sence of danger is sometimes used in Ryotaro Shiba's novel. I think it is important so I respect Ryu Murakami.
Tsuyoshi Mori is a mathmatician. He had alrady dead. I first read his essay in junior high school. His essay is written for young people. His message is very tender and thoughtful. I like him and his essay.

I was born in 1990 in Japan. I entered into a kindergarten at the age of 4, so I had been there for 2 years. After I graduated from the kindergarten, I moved. Then I entered an elementary school. I had gone to the school for 4 years. I used to play the video game, soccer, onigokko, and more with my friends. In the school, I had done kendo for 2 years.
When I finished 4th grade, I moved again. At that elementary school, of course, I played with my friends, and I drew with a few of them. Before then, I liked drawing but hadn't drawn with my friends. So I was happy. After 1 year and a half, I moved but I had gone to the school for 2 years because it left only a half year to graduate from elementary school. Also, in the school, I was in kendo club.
Then, I entered a junior high school. It was different school from my elementary school's friends. I had been in swimming club for 2 years and I was in art club in the junior high school. While I was a junior high school student, some of my friends said my hair style is like bird's nest so this blog's name is "Birrrrd's Nest!"
After I graduated from junior high school, I entered a high school. It was very far from my house so I took for about an hour to go to the high school. I was in judo club in high school. When I was a high school student, my daily life is the following : wake up at 6:00, left my house at 6:40, study from 7:30 to 16:50, go to the club, finish the club at 20:00~20:30, go back home at 21:00~21:30, have dinner, take a bath, and sleep.
3 years later, I entered engineering department of a university and have gone there for 2 years and a half. When I was a junior in college, I noticed that I wasn't suited for engineering and I wanted to study Japanese. So, I applied for a half year's leave of absence and started to study. In March the year, I passed Japanese department of another university, but I decided to go English department of the present university because I liked more this department's curriculum than another. Now I am a freshman in a college.
