I respect three presons, Ryotaro Shiba, Ryu Murakami, and Tsuyoshi Mori. Ryotaro Shiba is a writer. He wrote some famous novel, such as "Kouu and Ryuho", "Ryoma goes", and " the cloud at the top of a hill". I want to read them but I haven't. I read some of his novel.
My first novel which was wrote by him is "A man of the Plough". It is the story of a sword man who established a school of kendo. His kendo was named Hokushin-ittoryu. The life of him moved my mind. He broke the old customs and made new theory of kendo. I read "Kashin", "Shinsengumi keppuroku", "The last shogun", and others.
Ryotaro Shiba studied it as hard as possible when he wrote about anything, and he wrote a novel with improvements. His novel's story, theme, and character are very exciting. Also, when I read his novel, I thought very much. Those are why I respect Ryotaro Shiba.
Ryu Murakami is also writer. I read his novel, such as "Go out of the peninsula", "Hyuga virus", "Exsodus of a hopeful country", and others. His novel is stimulating and his essay makes me think. He insists that Japanese forgot a sence of danger but it isu't justified. A sence of danger is sometimes used in Ryotaro Shiba's novel. I think it is important so I respect Ryu Murakami.
Tsuyoshi Mori is a mathmatician. He had alrady dead. I first read his essay in junior high school. His essay is written for young people. His message is very tender and thoughtful. I like him and his essay.
You are quite a reader, Joji! You make me very interested in these Japanese writers. I know it would be best to read them in the original Japanese, but I can't read Kanji yet, so I may try to find one of their books translated into English at Kinokuniya next time I go there!
